Roof Removals
We have the best tear off crew in town. Most roofs are stripped
off and ready to go in a couple of hours. The ground cleanup
is meticulous. We are constantly complimented on the thoroughness,
cleanliness and speed of our tear-off crew. Most roofs are
completely cleaned off in a couple of hours, enabling the
installation crew to begin installing the new plywood, felt,
or roofing
Carpentry
Work
New
plywood, siding, fascia and decking boards are just some of
the types of carpentry we can perform. Upon tear-off of your
old roof, we commonly discover wood damage from leaks, dry
rot and termites. We will notify you of these problems and
make the repairs as needed. In addition to repair work, we
can also perform other types of general carpentry such as
siding, fascia board, decking, etc.
New plywood is installed over skip sheathing
and can usually be completed the same day the roof was removed.
Composition
Shingle
20,25,30 and 40yr shingles are available in a wide variety
of brand and colors. ASTM 30# felt underlayment is a standard
feature. Composition shingles are the most common type of
roofing in today's market. There are several different blends
and colors available to compliment the paint scheme of your
house. Warranties range from 20 to 40 years. ASTM 30# felt
underlayment and new metal dripedge are always used in our
systems.
Simulated Shakes and Slate: Get the look of wood shakes or
old world slate with the benefit of a Class "A"
Fire Rating.
Concrete
Tile
Light weight concrete tiles are a great replacement for old
shake roofs. Several styles are available; from the classic
Spanish or Mediterranean look and even some very nice shake
look-alikes. All roofs feature two layers of 40# underlayment,
double flashed pipe flashings (galvanized and aluminum), and
eave closure metal.
Clay Tile
We offer some of the best clay tile roofs available. Two piece
clay tile with mortar and staggered courses gives that custom
look that will separate your roof from the rest. All roofs
feature two layers of 40# underlayment, double flashed pipe
flashings (galvanized and aluminum), and clay bird stop. Your
new tile roof will last as long as it’s supposed to.
Flashings
New pipe flashings are always installed, sealed
with a polyurethane sealant and painted to match. Double flashings
are used on tile roofs. Roof jacks and flashings are sealed
with a polyurethane sealant, then painted to match with a
paint made for roofing applications.
On tile roofs, two flashings are used. A
galvanized flashing goes underneath the tile and is waterproofed
by the 40# underlayment. Then a second soft aluminum flashing
that conforms to the shape of the tile is installed to divert
water back out onto the tiles. With this method there is no
unsightly mortar that will crack with age and cause leaks.
